The Quilt Circle was first published in 2010 to showcase the work of The Quilt members. It has been continually published since that time; the primary format has been print. Even though print seems to be an old technology, we have requests every year for a glossy printed publication.
In the past, each article submitted contained the article, associated images and an “About Statement” or boiler plate for the organization submitting the article. We have also done call-out statements. The call-out box has been varied; we have used facts about the regionals, we have taken content used in the article and highlighted it; and we have pulled content from the article that was submitted and used in solely as a call out.
The diversity of the activities by the membership doesn’t lend itself to establishing a theme prior to requesting articles. However, themes often emerge when all the articles have been submitted and reviewed. If a theme does emerge, we will base the cover design and layout on that theme.
The Quilt is currently accepting articles for the 2017 edition through March 20, 2017.
If you are considering a submission this year, we recommend you so sooner than later or get in touch with us and let us know your intentions. Each article needs to fit on a single page with enough room for heading, image, call out (if we use them) and the about statement.
This annual publication is used by The Quilt members and staff in a variety of educational and promotional functions.
Please contact Jennifer Griffin to reserve a spot. This will be an excellent opportunity to meet the Carahsoft team so please consider participating!
