Driving Directions

  • The Raphael Hotel is approximately 30 to 35 minutes or 23 to 26 miles from the Kansas City International Airport.
  • The University of Missouri Kansas City location is approximately 30 to 40 minutes or 25 to 30 miles from the Kansas City International Airport.

Shuttle

For your transportation needs to and from the KCI Airport, the SuperShuttle is available at 800-258-3826.

  • From the KCI Airport to The Raphael Hotel, the fee is $18.00 per passenger each way. If you prepay for a round trip, your total will be discounted $5.00 off the total.
  • From the KCI Airport to UMKC-University Center,  the fee is $20.00 per passenger each way. If you prepay for a round trip, your total will be discounted $2.00 off the total.

A second option for your transportation needs to and from the KCI Airport is a town car service; Agenda: Kansas City at 888-243-6325. Hours of operation for scheduling information or reservations is Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CT.

Transportation

  • If you are planning to rent a car for the meeting, we would appreciate it if you would be willing to ride share with other participants.
  • Carpoolers should plan to meet in the hotel lobby at 7:30 am each morning to transport to the meeting site.
  • The meeting location is 1 mile from the hotel.
  • Google maps estimates a walking time of 23 minutes.

Reservations

  • Reservations need to be made directly with the hotel by telephone referencing our group code THE QUILTS – SEPTEMBER CONFERENCE GROUP BLOCKS
  • The special group rate is not available through online bookings

Block Cutoff Date: August 21st, 2009

Block Rate

  • $129.00 per night for a Deluxe Standard Room
  • $139.00 per night for a Suite.
  • The additional tax rate per room is 15.225% per night.
  • The nightly rates include wireless Internet in all guest rooms, valet parking, and a daily private continental breakfast served in the lower level of the restaurant, Chaz on the Plaza, starting at 6:30 am
  • However, if your organization is tax-exempt and will be paying direct or reimbursing you for the expense, any guest may present a tax exempt form from their organization at the time of check-in.
  • If an individual cancellation is unavoidable; it must be cancelled 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid a room charge
