The 2026 RFP is now open to interested vendors until Feb. 25 (11:59 EDT).
Since the program’s inception in 2002, The Quilt’s purchase program provides hundreds of educational institutions across the country access to discounted IP-transit by leveraging our research and education network community’s collective buying power with approved providers who participate in the program. Today, 4.1 Tbps of committed commodity bandwidth is purchased from approved CIS providers who were chosen through the last RFP effort to participate in the program.
