The NJEDge by-laws specifies a certain number of board seats designated to each of the sectors of higher education (Research, State College, Community College, Independent or Privates). The board has a nominations committee that selects nominees to fill vacant seats in consultation with sector associations representing those sectors. Those nominees are presented to the board and are typically selected at the Annual Meeting of the Corporation.
