Videoconference Workshop

The next workshop in the The Quilt series will be convened
via videoconference hosted by MCNC of North Carolina. We are stepping
into new territory for The Quilt by hosting a workshop video event and we
are looking forward to the opportunity to showcase services from one of our
member networks as well as provide some relief for already stretched travel
budgets.
This workshop is a follow-on meeting to the discussions that
took place at The Quilt's first Network Operations Center workshop in
October, 2007 in Austin, Texas. The subject of Network Operations
Center Tools offers many opportunities to share best practices among the R&E
NOC community as well as identify areas for collaborations among members.
The program for this workshop was designed by a group of NOC managers and
resources from
across the community with responsibilities for the
choice, deployment and integration of software applications that support the day-to-day operations of a
R&E NOC. The target audience for this workshop is R&E networking business
managers, NOC managers and NOC staff.
The video-conference will begin at 1:00 pm ET on Wednesday,
September 10th and is planned run through 5:00 pm ET. Participants
will also have the ability to join the event by audio-conference.
There is no registration fee for the event, however, we do request that
participants register in order to plan appropriately. If you are
