September 24-25, 2008
Hosted by OSHEAN, The Quilt's Fall Member Meeting will be
held in Newport, Rhode Island at the Gooseberry Beach Club September 24-25, 2008.
Due to the location of the event, meeting attire will be
suitably casual. Our member meeting
will begin at 8:30 am on September 24th and run through approximately 1:00 p.m.
on September 25th. The member meeting program will include the following topics:
Membership Updates
Quilt Working Group Updates
Annual Organizational Review and Strategic Planning Session
Other Topics of Member Interest - Current ideas include;
Facilitating Research Collaborations, Best Practices in Facility Power
Management and Cooling; Data Storage Service Update
The Quilt-StateNets Financial Focus
Group will be holding its fall meeting in conjunction with The Quilt
meeting. The Quilt has extended an invitation to the participants of
the Financial Focus Group meeting to join The Quilt's discussions and dinner
event as their
agenda allows.
We are also planning our traditional Member Dinner for Wednesday,
September 24th at the Gooseberry Beach Club hosted by OSHEAN.
Tentative times for dinner are 6:30-9:00 p.m.
If you are planning to attend this
meeting, we ask that you register by July 30th
so that we are able to prepare and plan accordingly.
