The Quilt's 2007 Spring Member Meeting
and Workshop
Salt Lake City, Utah
April 3-5, 2007
The Quilt's Spring 2007 Member Meeting and Workshop are being
held in Salt Lake City, Utah at the University of Utah campus April 3-5,
2007 hosted by the Utah Education Network. With
this meeting, The Quilt is
trying a new structure to these events by holding
its member meeting and workshop consecutively at the
same location. We plan to start off with the Member
Meeting on April 3rd to run roughly mid-day April
4th. Then we will kick-off our workshop after
the member meeting with a tentative end time the afternoon
of April 5th.
The schedule for the meeting's is
such that meeting and workshop attendees can plan
their participation based on areas of interest. We
will start our workshop with the member meeting
focused on Quilt-related business. Next, we
will transition into our workshop topics with a
discussion on selected areas of regional common
business models. The business model discussion
will be followed by an exchange of ideas on
network operations center best practices and we plan
to end our workshop
with several peering topics with a technical focus.
As an adjunct event, there are ski days planned for
April 1st and 2nd for participants in these meetings.
